Animal Shelter Volunteers Needed

Dog Walker & Enrichment Volunteers

Dog Enrichment Volunteers give shelter dogs plenty of attention and TLC!

Enrichment includes:

Taking dogs outside to play in grass or on walks at the shelter.

Gently petting, talking to, and playing with the dogs outside.

Your time with shelter dogs increases their chances of finding a good home and helps them stay healthy and active.

Cat Care Volunteers

We welcome volunteers who will help to make sure each cat’s environment is clean, safe, and comfortable throughout the day. Cat care roles can involve cleaning enclosures, freshening bedding, washing food bowls, cleaning litter pans, feeding and general cleaning of the cat room and enclosures. 

Shelter Operations & Cleaning Volunteers

Support routine facility upkeep behind the scenes to keep animals safe and clean. 

Wash pet dishes and do laundry.

Sanitize cages and common areas.

Sweep and mop floors.

Transport Drivers, Gardening, Grounds & Maintenance

Occasionally we will put a call out for drivers to transport animals to local vet offices or to meet a rescue transport, pick up donations or deliver supplies to community partners.

Special maintenance projects or grounds help with weeding, planting, raking, removing litter and debris and trail clean-up are also needed on an on-call basis.
